General questions about the LED technology:
Q: How can I assess the lifetime of the products?
A: The lifetime of the products are listed up in hours. Ultimately, it depends very much, how long is the light in use. Following calculation serves as an example:
6 hours a day x 365 days = 2,200 hours; service life of the lamp of 20,000 hours, you could operate the lamp 9 years.
 
Q: Is LED technology harmful?
A: White LED chips are used as the light source and cover the entire color spectrum. Thus the violet and blue portion that scientifically has the greatest influence on the human body. So that it skips not a critical value, the legislator purports a limit which is to prove by the manufacturers through a so-called Blue hazard test. Is this true, the product is CE compliant. All our products have passed this test and are CE compliant.

Q: Why was deliberately LED technology in the product design used?
A: LIMUNDO has aware the LED technology in the development of the children of light decided, because it offers several advantages over the traditional technique such as incandescent or halogen bulb. The service life is much longer and the energy savings is substantial. Also the legislature supports the new LED technology by it gradually has raised the values of energy efficiency (Lumen / Watt) by standards in recent years. Therefore, the decision on LED is aligned with technology in the future. 
 
Q: What is the difference between luminaire and lamp:
A: The lighting industry distinguishes between luminaire and lamp. With lamp, the light source is meant (e.g. bulb) and as a luminaire, the system is indicative that the lamps includes.

Questions about the product range:
Socket light:
Q: How does the light sensor operates at the socket light?
A: In case the light socket in a wall outlet is plugged, the light sensor continuously measures the ambient brightness and automatically switches the light on at sunset and off at sunrise. Thus, it is ensured that electricity is consumed unnecessarily.
 
Q: Can I dim the light?
A: No, the light source has been chosen so that enough light is available for orientation in the dark, but also not too much, that the child sleep is disturbed. Therefore has been deliberately omitted on a dimmer function.

Q: Can I touch the product during operation?
A: Yes, the product is safe in operation. The two poles of the plug inside the socket. Should the lamp pulled out of the socket, the contact to the power is interrupted. The housing itself is 100% made of plastic, that is not electrically.

Light boxes:

Q: What kind of wood was used?
A: The corpus consists of oiled beech wood, which of the properties represents ideal for processing for a light box and brought enough stability for the daily use. LIMUNDO accepts no guarantee for a self coating. If you want to protect the wood from moisture, we recommend that the corpus be covered with natural beeswax.
 
Q: Can I dim the light?

Q: Can I exchange the light source?
A: No, we have closed the light boxes for safety reasons. The lifetime of the LED source is approximately 10 years. See question "How do I rate the lifetime of products?"
 
Q: Can I change the images?
A: Yes, that's possible. You can chose a new motif and exchange it with the existing one.

Q: Is it possible to order a lightbox with my own image?

Wall light Eddy:
Q: Can I connect the light directly on the power cable?
A: Yes, that is possible. A cable with switch is included, you can connect directly to the power outlet. If you would like to connect Eddy directly to the mains, you can omit the cable during the installation. For more information please follow the instruction manual before you install the luminaire.

Q: Can I dim the light?

A: No, the function we have omitted deliberately, because no dimmer function requires the wall light as a decorative light.

Hanging lamps with textile printing:
Q: Why is the available E27 connection cable and LED lamp optionally?
A: The lighting industry has agreed some time ago already on various version and base systems and standardized them. The hanging lamps of LIMUNDO use a very popular and widely used E27 system. Therefore the user can access E27 cable and lamps, which do not come from LIMUNDO.
 
Q: Is the fabric safe?
A: LIMUNDO take carefully the selection of substances and the fabric is very safe with the building material class B1 (hardly inflammable).

Hanging lamps to the self-coloring:
Q: What kind of pens can I use?
A: Commercially available felt-tip pens can be used for coloring.
 
Q: Can I change the motif?
A: Yes, this is possible. The lamp shade holder and the lamp shade itself, both have a velcro closure, that you can open and close.

Q: Is the fabric safe?
A: LIMUNDO take carefully the selection of substances and the fabric is very safe with the building material class B1 (hardly inflammable).
 
Q: Why is the available E27 cable and LED lamp optionally?
A: The lighting industry has agreed some time ago already on various version and base systems and standardized them. The hanging lamps of LIMUNDO use a very popular and widely used E27 system. Therefore the user can access E27 cable and lamps, which do not come from LIMUNDO.

Portable lamp Toby:
Q: How long can I use the battery?
A: A fully charged battery would keep depending on the light intensity from 5 to 100 hours. The charging time to recharge the batteries is 5 hours if the battery is completely empty.
 
Q: Can I use the light for camping?
A: Absolutely. Toby is waterproof and shatterproof. We have developed the light especially for using it in tents and for camping. A hook is included, so that you can also hang up Toby.
 
Q: Why there are 2 light sources (warm white and cold white) in the lamp?
A: The warm white source gives a cozy atmosphere and if you are looking for a subject, then switch to the cold white light source.
